Federal Minister directs speedy completion of Jinnah Avenue flyover

January 31, 2025 (MLN): The Jinnah Avenue flyover project is set to be completed by next month, as Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has instructed authorities to expedite work on this crucial infrastructure.

During his visit to the F-8 Jinnah Avenue Interchange and F-10 Roundabout expansion projects, Naqvi reviewed construction progress and urged officials to speed up work while maintaining high quality standards.

He announced that the Jinnah Avenue flyover would be opened to traffic by the second week of February.

Naqvi emphasized the importance of completing the beautification work around the projects alongside the ongoing construction activities.

He also directed authorities to complete landscaping and horticulture work on schedule.

During his visit, Naqvi reviewed the progress of the F-8 Jinnah Avenue Interchange flyover, noting that the base slabs of the box girder have been completed.

He further inspected the ongoing expansion work at the F-10 Roundabout and instructed officials to finish it by the first week of February.

These projects are expected to provide significant relief from traffic congestion, facilitate smoother travel, and result in major time and fuel savings on the signal-free corridor.

Chairman CDA Mohammad Ali Randhawa briefed the Interior Minister on the progress of these projects.

Federal Secretary Interior Muhammad Khurram Agha, senior officials from NESPAK, and other relevant authorities were also present.
