A strike against Sindh High Courts has brought the exports to a near halt. The delivery of raw materials has severely been affected in the industrial area across Karachi resulting in consignment delays. The strike has been under effect since the last four days.

The businesses across Karachi have been having problems to ship their cargo as there were no carriers willing to take the long routes after Sindh high Court’s ban on movement heavy traffic within the city.

The Pakistan Appeal Forum appealed Prime Minister to resolve the issue as there were no deliveries were being made from any businesses throughout Karachi.

Exporters complain that due to the ongoing strike, there were no empty containers available to load for exports. He further said the businesses run on marginal profits making in unfeasible to send shipments by air rather than by sea.
