Egypt and Lebanon announce USD 1 billion investment in Pakistan

October 3, 2019 (MLN): A Trade delegation from Egypt and Lebanon called on Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad on Thursday.

During the meeting, the top businessmen consortium from Egypt and Lebanon assured an investment of USD 1 Billion in the next 12 months in various sectors, including health, Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme, farming, exchange of technology in fertilizer and agriculture sector.

They further announced a USD 500 Million energy project investment.

Commerce Adviser Abdul Razak Dawood, Special Assistants to Prime Minister Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan, Nadeem Babar, Syed Zulfiqar Abbas Bukhari and Chairman Board of Investment Zubair Gillani were also present during the meeting.
