March 13, 2023 (MLN): Engro Fertilizers Limited (PSX: EFERT) resumed commercial operations at its Base Plant on March 10, 2023, at 5:15 P.M., the company's filing on PSX revealed today.

The base plant was undergoing an unplanned shutdown from March 4, 2023.

The company had assured that it is taking all necessary steps to resume operations and is keeping the local bourse informed about the situation as it evolves. The company's top priority is to resume operations in a timely manner.

It is pertinent to note that the reason behind the unplanned shutdown is currently unknown.

EFERT is one of the leading fertilizer manufacturers in Pakistan, known for its commitment to quality and innovation.

The company's Base Plant is located in Daharki, Sindh, and has a production capacity of 1.3 million tonnes per year. The plant produces urea and DAP fertilizers, which are essential for increasing crop yields and improving the quality of agricultural products.
