ECC withdraws customs duty on import of cotton yarn

April 14, 2021 (MLN): In a latest development, the Economic Coordination Committee of the Cabinet (ECC) on Wednesday, has withdrawn customs duty on import of cotton yarns to facilitate the Value-Added exporters.

This will be notified with the approval of the Federal cabinet, Adviser to Prime Minister of Pakistan for Commerce and Investment Mr. Razzak Dawood through his official Twitter handle said.

Alongside this, he also mentioned that the regulatory duty was already withdrawn in December 2020 on the recommendation of MoC. Now the Value-Added manufacturers and exporters can import cotton yarns at 0% customs duty, he added.
