ECC to revise circular debt management plan

January 31, 2021 (MLN): The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet, in its meeting which is scheduled to be held today at 1600hrs, will revise the circular debt management plan.
The meeting will also discuss the recovery of staggered fuel charges adjustment for the month of August and September 2022 and the waiver of electricity bills in flood-affected areas.
The committee will also review the proposal for an increase in Maximum Retail Prices (MRPs) on Paracetamol products.
Furthermore, the refinancing of Power Holdings Limited's debt amounting to Rs283.287 billion and a surcharge to cover markup payments will also be reviewed.
The meeting will be chaired by the federal minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Ishaq Dar.
