ECC to discuss tax regime for non-resident investors in local debt market

September 4, 2019 (MLN): A meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) is scheduled to take place at 11:00 am (PST), today, to address the tax regime for non-resident companies investing in the local debt market.
The meeting chaired by Advisor to prime Minister on Finance & Revenue, will also revise the cess rates on Tobacco for fiscal year 2020, while measure to address the shortage of urea fertilizer is another issue that will be brought to the table.
The ECC will further evaluate the report of wheat situation in the country.
