ECC to discuss reduction in electricity rate for industrial sector

May 14, 2019 (MLN): The meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee is scheduled for Wednesday, wherein it will discuss 16 points agenda.

The key highlight of the meeting would be the electricity rate, wherein the committee shall allow Rs 3/kwh reduction in electricity rate for industrial sector, subject to approval of the Prime Minister.

The committee shall also discuss and approve additional supply of 150 MW to K-Electric from national grid.

Furthermore, the committee is likely to allow tax exemption for Saudi Fund for development.
