ECC likely to approve additional funds for Gwadar projects

June 26, 2024 (MLN): The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet, in its meeting which is scheduled to be held on June 26, 2024, at 1700 hours, will likely approve the allocation of Additional Funds under PSDP 2023-24 for Development Projects in Gwadar. 

During this meeting, the committee will also discuss amendments to the Pension Scheme today. 

Meanwhile, the committee will likely approve a Technical Supplementary Grant (TSG) amounting to Rs.10.477 million under Grant-024. 

ECC will also discuss the allocation of surrendered funds amounting to Rs96.480m for the Publicity Campaign on Defence Day (6th September 2023). 

The committee is to review the request for the Provision of a TSG of Rs29.13m and Rs130m each for the payment to NTS for the screening test of recruitment in ICT Police and payment of POL charges and clearance of liabilities. 

In addition, the committee will discuss the return of USF/R&D Funds by the Federal Government in the last quarter of FY24. 

The request for TSG of Rs7.987 billion for the 7th Population & Housing Census will also be reviewed. 

The Minister for Finance and Revenue Muhammad Aurangzeb will chair the said meeting.
