Earnings report: Pakistan Tobacco Company

Pakistan Tobacco Company (PTC) reported its financial statements for the half year ending June 30^th 2018.

These results were finalized at the company’s Board of Directors meeting, held on July 23^rd 2018.

Compared to the 6 months ending in 2017, the company’s gross turnover increased by 28% while their net turnover increased by 50%.

Gross profit went up by remarkably by 72%.

While on one hand Other Operating Expenses went up by 89%, their Other Income leapt majorly by 323%, resulting in an increase of 96% in Operating Profits.

Finance Income increased by 432% while Finance Cost decreased by 44%. Together the two resulted in an overall increase of 797% in Financial Net Income.

PTC’s Profit before Income Tax went up by 101% while the company’s profit for the period has increased by 113%
