Decision on gas price hike further postponed: ECC

September 10, 2018 (MLN): The decision to increase gas prices has been postponed, as the ECC meeting ends.

According to sources, the Committee has resolved to hold further discussions with stakeholders on the matter, and make a decision on the matter of gas price increase after taking into account the suggestions that it will receive from these stakeholders.

It has further been informed that a final decision on the matter will be taken by the Prime Minister himself.
