June 24, 2020 (MNL): The KSE-100 index ended the trading session on Wednesday with a 17.96 point or 0.05 percent decline to close at 34,034.65.

The Index traded in a range of 221.75 points or 0.65 percent of previous close, showing an intraday high of 34,161.02 and a low of 33,939.27.

Of the 95 traded companies in the KSE100 Index 23 closed up 66 closed down, while 6 remained unchanged. Total volume traded for the index was 95.68 million shares.

Sector wise, the index was let down by Oil & Gas Exploration Companies with 44 points, Commercial Banks with 33 points, Power Generation & Distribution with 20 points, Cement with 13 points and Pharmaceuticals with 12 points.

The most points taken off the index was by PPL which stripped the index of 20 points followed by HUBC with 18 points, HBL with 16 points, OGDC with 13 points and PAKT with 9 points.

Sectors propping up the index were Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. with 62 points, Food & Personal Care Products with 36 points, Fertilizer with 34 points, Oil & Gas Marketing Companies with 11 points and Automobile Parts & Accessories with 7 points.

The most points added to the index was by DAWH which contributed 62 points followed by NESTLE with 40 points, ENGRO with 27 points, APL with 10 points and EFERT with 10 points.

All Share Volume increased by 35.10 Million to 195.73 Million Shares. Market Cap decreased by Rs.2.65 Billion.

Total companies traded were 360 compared to 364 from the previous session. Of the scrips traded 104 closed up, 227 closed down while 29 remained unchanged.

Total trades increased by 4,886 to 82,700.

Value Traded increased by 0.17 Billion to Rs.5.79 Billion
