September 25, 2019 (MNL): The domestic equity market remained negative today after shedding 264 points, and settled at 31,565 points level due to absence of positive triggers in the market.

The Index traded in a range of 394.83 points or 1.24 percent of previous close, showing an intraday high of 31,868.62 and a low of 31,473.79.

Of the 92 traded companies in the KSE100 Index 30 closed up 60 closed down, while 2 remained unchanged. Total volume traded for the index was 75.01 million shares.

Sector wise, the index was let down by Commercial Banks with 108 points, Power Generation & Distribution with 48 points, Oil & Gas Exploration Companies with 34 points, Fertilizer with 29 points and Food & Personal Care Products with 12 points.

The most points taken off the index was by HUBC which stripped the index of 46 points followed by UBL with 36 points, HBL with 36 points, OGDC with 27 points and ENGRO with 14 points.

Sectors propping up the index were Insurance with 11 points, Paper & Board with 4 points, Textile Composite with 2 points and Sugar & Allied Industries with 1 points.

The most points added to the index was by ABL which contributed 9 points followed by FABL with 6 points, ICI with 6 points, JLICL with 5 points and EFUG with 5 points.

All Share Volume increased by 15.96 Million to 104.76 Million Shares. Market Cap decreased by Rs.36.86 Billion.

Total companies traded were 362 compared to 341 from the previous session. Of the scrips traded 130 closed up, 212 closed down while 20 remained unchanged.

Total trades increased by 645 to 43,674.

Value Traded increased by 0.28 Billion to Rs.4.17 Billion
