Binance, MoITT join forces on blockchain learning

May 29, 2025 (MLN): In a significant move to strengthen blockchain education in Pakistan, Binance Academy and the Ministry of IT and Telecom (MoITT) have unveiled a strategic partnership.

The initiative will provide blockchain education support to 300 educators and aims to reach 80,000 students across 20 universities in Pakistan by 2026.

According to a spokesperson for the Ministry of IT, the partnership will offer tailored blockchain training for professors and educators.

These efforts are designed to empower students in Pakistan’s top universities, contributing to a growing talent pool in the local and global tech ecosystem.

This effort builds on the foundation of the Global University Outreach Program (GUOP), which is considered the world’s largest Web3 educational initiative.

GUOP was launched through a collaboration between Binance Academy and the Blockchain & AI Technology Center (BAITC).

Its current focus is to embed blockchain education into university curricula globally through open educational resources, professional certifications, and industry collaboration.

Bader Al Kalooti, MEASA Head of Growth and Operations at Binance, emphasized the program’s impact: “As blockchain reshapes the global financial landscape, empowering people with the right skills is essential to unlocking its potential.

Our collaboration with the Ministry of IT and Telecom in Pakistan marks a significant step toward building a knowledgeable workforce ready to drive innovation and foster growth in the digital economy.”

It contributes to economic growth and positions Pakistan as a global source of skilled blockchain talent.

This collaboration highlights Binance’s commitment to supporting Pakistan’s digital future, according to the press release issued today.

Through alignment with local standards and support for blockchain education, Binance aims to contribute to a secure, consumer-focused digital environment.

Since 2022, Binance Academy has provided Web 3.0 skills training to over 3,000 students in 13 universities across three provinces in Pakistan.

The Global University Outreach Program, launched in 2023 with a pilot in Kazakhstan, has since expanded to 20 countries.

It aims to reach more than 200 universities in over 50 countries, educating over one million students by 2026.

Binance Academy is a blockchain and cryptocurrency learning platform offering over 1,000 articles and courses in more than 30 languages.
