PM begins Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Türkiye visit

April 15, 2026 (MLN): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has commenced an official three-nation visit covering the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Qatar, and the Republic of Türkiye from today until April 18, 2026, aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and advancing regional diplomatic engagement.

According to a Foreign Office statement, the visit to Saudi Arabia and Qatar will take place in a bilateral framework, where the prime minister is scheduled to meet senior leadership of both countries, as reported by APP.

Discussions will focus on enhancing cooperation across multiple sectors, alongside consultations on regional peace, security, and stability.

Following the Gulf engagements, the prime minister will travel to Türkiye to participate in the Fifth Antalya Diplomacy Forum.

During the high-profile event, he will join the Leaders’ Panel with other global heads of state and present Pakistan’s perspective on key international issues.

On the sidelines of the forum, Prime Minister Shehbaz is also expected to hold separate bilateral meetings with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and other world leaders to further deepen diplomatic cooperation and explore avenues of mutual interest.

Pakistan’s participation in the forum underscores its continued commitment to proactive diplomacy, multilateral engagement, and constructive dialogue on global challenges.

The prime minister is accompanied by a high-level delegation including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Syed Tariq Fatemi, along with other senior government officials.
