ARL takes the matter of FO crisis up with Ministry of Energy

December 24, 2019 (MLN): Attock Refinery Limited (ARL) has notified that the management of the company along with other local refineries has taken up the matter of Furnace Oil crisis, with the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division).

Recently, various articles on the issue of Furnace Oil crises being faced by the local refineries were published in several newspaper.

The Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Petroleum has decided to make a Working Group comprising of Government Officials and Refineries Representatives with the objective to address this issue and recommend remedial policy measures to ensure the sustainability of economically viable refining operations and making it feasible to undertake future upgradation projects.

This joint effort on the part of all stake holders will help to overcome this crisis situation.
