Amreli Steels extends suspension of operations at SITE Rolling Mill

March 20, 2025 (MLN): Amreli Steels Limited (PSX: ASTL) has extended the temporary suspension of its operations at the SITE Rolling Mill (SRM) for an additional six months on the back of adverse operational and economic challenges within the steel sector.

According to a statement issued today, the operational conditions that initially necessitated the suspension in September 2024 have not improved and, in some areas, have further worsened.

The company emphasized that a reassessment of the situation will be conducted at the end of this extended period to evaluate the feasibility of resuming operations, contingent upon significant improvements in the broader business environment.

Amreli Steels Limited has assured stakeholders that they will be informed of further developments as the situation evolves.
