Aamir Shamim takes the helm as Managing Director of Pak Brunei Investment Company

May 18, 2023 (MLN): The federal government on Thursday appointed Mr. Aamir Shamim as the Managing Director (MD) of Pak Brunei Investment Company for a tenure of three years.

Mr. Aamir Shamim was serving as a Group Head of Treasury & Financial Institutions at BankIslami Pakistan Limited (BIPL) since May 2015 to date.

He also served as Senior Vice President & Islamic Banking Specialist at the Islamic Bank of Thailand.

Before his latest appointment, Ms. Ayesha Aziz was serving this role for over fifteen years.

Ms. Aziz has been associated with Pak Brunei Investment Company since its inception and has helped to position it as a leading Investment Bank in terms of scope and scale of operations as well as the quality of assets.

She brings over 28 years of experience in Structured Finance, Private Equity & Strategic Advisory businesses.

Pak Brunei Investment Company is an Investment Finance Company established as a joint venture between Pakistan and Brunei Investment Agency (BIA) that commenced operations in August 2007.

The company has active platforms for Project and Lease Finance, Corporate Finance & Advisory Services, SME Finance, Private Equity, and Fund Management.
