POL finds gas, condensate at TAL Block well

June 27, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan Oilfields Limited (PSX: POL) has disclosed a significant hydrocarbon discovery at the Development Well, Makori Deep-03, located in the TAL Block, District Karak, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The company holds a 25% pre-commerciality working interest in the TAL Block, operated by MOL, the notification issued to the local bourse.

Drilling operations for the Makori Deep-03 well commenced on December 12, 2024, reaching a total depth of 3,887 meters.

Upon completion, the well tested a flow of 22.08 million standard cubic feet (MMSCF) of gas per day and 2,112 barrels of condensate per day, along with 15 barrels per day of water.

The test was conducted at a fixed choke size of 32/64" and a flowing wellhead pressure of 4,744 psi, targeting the Lockhart formation.

The well is expected to be connected to the production line within two months.
