July 31, 2025 (MLN): The United States has imposed sanctions on six Indian companies for allegedly facilitating financial transactions that support Iran’s revenue streams, which the U.S. administration claims are used to fund terrorism and destabilizing activities across the Middle East.

The sanctioned entities include:

  • Alchemical Solutions Pvt Ltd

  • Global Industrial Chemicals Ltd

  • Jupiter Dye Chem Pvt Ltd

  • Ramniklal S Gosalia & Company

  • Persistent Petrochem Pvt Ltd

  • Kanchan Polymers

According to U.S. officials, these companies were involved in transactions generating billions of dollars for Iran. The U.S. Treasury Department alleges that these funds are channeled into supporting the country’s proxy networks and militant groups in the region.

“These financial activities enable Iran to bypass sanctions, funnel resources to extremist groups, and threaten the stability of the Middle East,” stated a senior U.S. official. “We will continue to take action against entities involved in illicit networks that aid the Iranian regime’s malign agenda.”

The sanctions, which include asset freezes and restrictions on international financial dealings, are part of the Biden administration's ongoing efforts to curtail Iran’s influence through economic pressure.

The Indian government has not yet issued a formal response to the development. The move could have broader implications for Indo-U.S. relations and Indian companies engaged in trade with sanctioned regions.

The list of sanctioned companies was shared by prominent Pakistani journalist Kamran Khan, further amplifying attention on the issue in South Asian media circles.
