U. S. A. leads as top export destination for Pakistan in Dec

January 19, 2026 (MLN): The U. S. A. remained the top export destination for Pakistan during December, with $537.56 million worth of shipments, up by 6.5% against the exports of $504.59m in same period last year.

According to the data released by the State Bank of Pakistan, this was followed by China, as Pakistan exported goods worth $233.09m to the country as compared to the exports of $233.49m recorded during the same month of the previous year, depicting a deline of 0.2%.

U. K. was the third on the list as Pakistan generated export revenue worth $191.56m from the country. This figure was up by 15.8% from the exports of $165.42m in the same period last year.

U. A. E. Dubai was the fourth in line as exports to the region during the aforementioned period were $166.69m, depicting an increase of 6.5% YoY.

Among other countries, Pakistan's exports to the Germany stood at $145.33m, marking a rise of 6.5% YoY, while exports to Spain increased by 7.5% YoY to $133.31m.

Moreover, the export receipts received from Netherlands (Holland) stood at $130.93m, up by 7.7% YoY.

While on a sequential basis, the total exports to U. S. A. increased by 19.1% MoM. While exports to China increased by 20% MoM.

Moreover, receipts received from exports to U. K. depicted an increase of 26.1% MoM.

Meanwhile, cumulatively, in 6MFY26, U. S. A. was the top source of export receipts, worth $3.18bn as against the total exports worth $3.02bn in 6MFY25.

Whereas, total exports to China in 6MFY26 stood at $1.22bn, registering a decline of -5.6%.

Cumulatively, U. K. ranked as the third-largest contributor to the country's export earnings, accounting for exports valued at $1.1bn in 6MFY26, compared to $1.1bn in the same period last year
