Three bids received for PIA privatisation

December 23, 2025 (MLN): The Government of Pakistan has received three sealed bids for the privatisation of Pakistan International Airlines Corporation Limited (PIACL), submitted by the Arif Habib Consortium, Lucky Group Consortium, and Air Blue, according to official sources.

The bids were received earlier today as part of the ongoing privatisation process.

The Privatisation Commission is expected to seek approval from the Cabinet Committee on Privatisation (CCP) by 3:30 pm today.

Bids will be reviewed in line with the approved transaction structure and evaluation criteria before being placed before the CCP.

The process forms part of the government’s broader economic reform agenda aimed at restructuring and reviving the national flag carrier.

Further details, including bid values and the reference price, are expected to be disclosed following the cabinet committee’s decision.
