Tata Textile Mills launches BMR project to enhance efficiency

October 01, 2025 (MLN):  Tata Textile Mills Limited (PSX:TATM)  has initiated a major Balancing, Modernization and Replacement (BMR) project at its Muzaffargarh Plant (Unit-M01).

The project aims to replace the plant’s existing 19,200 spindles with 24,288 state-of-the-art spindles in order to boost operational efficiency and production capacity.

The modernization initiative will streamline production processes by enhancing operational efficiency across utilities and maintenance, reducing labor and power costs, and increasing overall output, according to the company’s disclosure to the Pakistan Stock Exchange,

The project also includes civil works and machinery replacement, with completion expected within six months. Upon completion, the BMR activity is projected to significantly strengthen Tata Textile Mills’ profitability and ensure long-term sustainable growth.

This investment reflects the company’s commitment to innovation and competitiveness in Pakistan’s textile sector, positioning it for improved performance in both domestic and international markets.
