Super Tax cases transferred to Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan

November 27, 2025 (MLN): The Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan (FCCP) has fixed for hearing a batch of high-profile super tax cases involving Section 4B and 4C of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001, including a petition filed by DG Khan Cement Company Limited and others.

According to an official notice issued by the FCCP Registrar’s Office, the cases will be taken up on December 1, 2025, at 9:00 am at the Court House located in the Islamabad High Court building.

The notice directs all concerned parties to ensure their appearance or arrange representation before the court on the scheduled date. It further warns that proceedings will continue ex parte against any parties that fail to appear.

The transfer of these cases to the FCCP marks a significant development, as Section 4B (Super Tax) and Section 4C (Additional Tax on High-Income Earners and Corporates) have remained subjects of legal dispute among major companies and the government.

The notice was issued on November 25, 2025, and signed by Shahid Habib Ansari, Senior Assistant Registrar, for the Registrar of the Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan.
