Sindh Cabinet approves Rs2bn equity injection for Sindh Modaraba

December 02, 2025 (MLN): The Sindh Cabinet has approved an equity injection of Rs2 billion for Sindh Modaraba to be disbursed over the next two years, the company disclosed in a filing with the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) today.

The capital injection is aimed at strengthening the company's Islamic financing portfolio. The funds will be released in two equal tranches:

Rs 1 billion during the fiscal year 2025-26.
Rs 1 billion during the fiscal year 2026-27.

The management stated that this financial support is projected to result in steady growth in profits and portfolio size.

Additionally, the injection will facilitate the expansion of organisational scale through the opening of new branches, the hiring of additional staff, and the enhancement of company reserves.
