Shifa International Hospitals credits 78,860 shares under SMCI merger

October 15, 2026 (MLN): Shifa International Hospitals Ltd (PSX:SHFA) has credited 78,860 ordinary shares of Rs10 each into the Central Depository System (CDS) accounts of the eligible shareholders of Shifa Medical Centre Islamabad (Pvt) Ltd (SMCI) under the sanctioned scheme of arrangement for their merger, raising its paid-up capital to Rs632.93mn.

The scheme provides for the merger and amalgamation of SMCI with and into SHFA.

The allotment lifts the company’s issued, subscribed and paid-up share capital from Rs632,143,830 to Rs632,932,430. The number of ordinary shares of Rs10 each rises from 63,214,383 to 63,293,243.

Under the terms of the scheme, SMCI stands dissolved without winding up following the allotment and issuance of the shares to its eligible shareholders.

The disclosure follows earlier filings dated October 27, 2025, on the board’s approval of the scheme, and July 16, 2026, on its sanction by the Islamabad High Court in Companies Original No. 02 of 2026.
