May 20, 2026 (MLN): The Senate on Wednesday unanimously passed a resolution reaffirming strong support for the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), emphasizing it as a key pillar of long-standing cooperation between Pakistan and China.
The resolution, moved in the House by Deputy Prime Minister
and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, emphasized Pakistan’s continued
commitment to advancing CPEC as a framework for shared prosperity, mutual
benefit, and socio-economic development for the peoples of both countries, according to APP.
It recalled with deep pride the historic and time-tested
partnership between Pakistan and China, describing the relationship as
iron-clad and built on mutual trust, respect, and shared aspirations for peace,
stability, development, and prosperity.

consistently remained a source of strength and reassurance despite changing
international circumstances.
