Sapphire Fibres secures RSOQ for GEPCO privatisation

August 25, 2026 (MLN): Sapphire Fibres Limited
(PSX:SFL) has secured the Request for Statement of Qualification (RSOQ) issued
by the Privatisation Commission for the divestment of GEPCO through privatization.
The company said its Board of Directors has approved
participation in the transaction.
As of the date of the disclosure, the company has not
assumed any binding obligation in this respect, with the process remaining
subject to pre-qualification by the Privatisation Commission and all requisite
corporate and regulatory approvals.
The company said it may form a consortium once
the approval is granted, and that it would keep the Exchange informed of
material developments in this regard.
The aforementioned information was
disseminated through a notification to Exchange.
