SECP introduces “Khudmukhtar Khatoon” for women entrepreneurs

June 22, 2026 (MLN): The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has approved a new digital financing product titled “Khudmukhtar Khatoon” aimed at supporting women entrepreneurs.

The initiative introduces a fully digital and Shariah-compliant financing facility designed to enhance women’s access to business funding, according to the press release.

Under the scheme, women entrepreneurs will be able to obtain asset financing ranging from Rs100,000 to Rs1.5 million. The financing will be used for the purchase of machinery, equipment, and other business assets.

The product will be launched by Willi Financial Services, while applications will be processed through the “Hakim” mobile application, enabling a fully digital onboarding and financing experience.

Repayment of the financing amount will be made through equal monthly installments over a one-year period.

According to the details, lending NBFCs provided Rs111 billion in financing during July–December 2025, while nearly 7.5 million micro and small businesses benefited from NBFC financing during the six-month period.

SECP stated that promoting women’s financial inclusion and entrepreneurial empowerment remains a key priority.
