SBP notifies 1LINK as designated payment system

August 21, 2025 (MLN): The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has officially notified 1LINK (Private) Limited as a Designated Payment System under Section 4(1) of the Payment Systems & Electronic Funds Transfer Act, 2007.

According to a notification issued by the central bank today, the designation takes immediate effect.

This move marked a significant step in strengthening Pakistan’s financial infrastructure, as 1LINK plays a critical role in the country’s payment ecosystem by operating the interbank network.

It enables ATM transactions, bill payments, fund transfers, and other digital financial services.
