Punjab offers 60% subsidy on super seeders

June 17, 2026 (MLN): Farmers across the province have been offered a 60% subsidy on Super Seeders and Pak Seeders under the Chief Minister’s Punjab Clean Air Program, as part of efforts to promote eco-friendly agricultural practices and reduce smog caused by crop residue burning.

The initiative covers multiple districts, including Multan, Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur and Dera Ghazi Khan. Eligible growers can collect application forms free of charge from tehsil-level Agriculture (Extension) offices and agricultural service centres, or download them via Agriculture Punjab website.

Applicants are required to submit completed forms to the concerned Agriculture Officer (Extension) or Assistant Director Agriculture (Extension) in their respective districts by June 30, 2026.

For queries and guidance, the Punjab Agriculture Helpline (0800-17000) will remain operational from Monday to Saturday, 8am to 8pm.

Punjab is implementing the program to support mechanized farming and improve air quality by discouraging traditional residue-burning practices.
