Pakistan-Indonesia health partnership gains momentum

June 26, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan and Indonesia are set to enhance collaboration in the health sector, with a strong focus on vaccine production, pharmaceutical development, medical education, and human resource exchange.

This renewed commitment emerged during a meeting between Mr. Rahmat Hindiarta Kusuma, Charge d'Affaires of the Embassy of Indonesia to Pakistan, and Dr. Malik Mukhtar Ahmad Bharath, Minister of State for National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination.

During the meeting, both sides explored avenues to deepen bilateral cooperation, according to the press release issued.

In their constructive and forward-looking discussion, both sides emphasized the immense potential for collaboration, including the establishment of medical institutions in Indonesia and expanding vaccine production capabilities in Pakistan.

Dr. Bharath reaffirmed Pakistan’s strategic commitment to this partnership, highlighting that Government-to-Government (G2G) and People-to-People (P2P) linkages are key to building sustainable health systems.

He emphasized that Pakistan looks forward to transforming shared goals into impactful health initiatives for both nations.
