July 03, 2026 (MLN): Pakistan’s football manufacturing industry was showcased during the live screening of the FIFA World Cup 2026 match between Uzbekistan and Portugal in Tashkent, as Pakistan’s Trade Mission promoted the country’s manufacturing capabilities before thousands of football fans.

The promotional activity was organized in collaboration with local Uzbek authorities at Bunyodkor Stadium and Humo Arena, where spectators gathered to watch the match, according to APP.

Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan appreciated the efforts of Pakistan’s Trade Mission in Tashkent for highlighting the country’s manufacturing excellence on an international sporting platform.

He said the initiative reflected the effective use of public diplomacy to project Pakistan’s industrial strength, export potential and positive image before an international audience.

The minister said Pakistan takes pride in its globally recognized football manufacturing industry, particularly the craftsmanship of Sialkot, which continues to produce premium-quality footballs for major international competitions.

He added that such initiatives help reinforce Pakistan’s position as a reliable, competitive and quality-focused manufacturing hub.

Jam Kamal Khan further said that promoting Pakistani products at international events with high global visibility can contribute to increasing exports, strengthening business confidence and expanding Pakistan’s trade and economic engagement with partner countries, including Uzbekistan.

During the event, the Trade Mission highlighted the “Trionda”, the official match ball of the FIFA World Cup 2026, manufactured in Sialkot by Forward Sports.

To increase outreach among local audiences, the Mission translated Forward Sports’ promotional documentary into the Uzbek language and screened it before the match at both venues.

The documentary highlighted Pakistan’s internationally recognized expertise in producing premium-quality footballs used in major international competitions around the world.

Representatives of the Embassy of Pakistan also presented a Pakistan-made “Trionda” football to Tashkent City Governor Shavkat Umurzakov as a symbol of the growing friendship and expanding partnership between Pakistan and Uzbekistan.

The Trade Mission said it plans to organize additional promotional activities in the coming weeks to further showcase Pakistan’s world-class manufacturing capabilities and raise awareness of the country’s export potential among the people and business community of Uzbekistan.
