May 14, 2026 (MLN): Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, departed for Beijing to attend the issuance ceremony of Pakistan’s inaugural $250m Panda Bond under a $1bn programme, according to post on a X by Khurram Schehzad.
The issuance marks Pakistan’s first entry into China’s
onshore capital market, one of the world’s largest financial markets.
Backed by the Asian Development Bank, Asian Infrastructure
Investment Bank and other partners, the Panda Bond issuance represents a key
milestone in Pakistan’s economic recovery, re-entry into global capital
