June 02, 2026 (MLN): The meeting of the National Economic Council (NEC), scheduled for tomorrow under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, has been postponed.

Following the postponement, there is a possibility that the federal budget will not be presented on June 5 as earlier expected, according to the sources.

The federal budget may now be presented on either June 8 or June 12, with a final decision yet to be made.
