Pakistan Oilfields' Razgir-1 Well starts production

October 14, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan Oilfields Limited (PSX: POL) has commenced production from its significant gas and condensate discovery, the Razgir-1 well.

This marked a major milestone in the development of the onshore TAL Block.

The Razgir-1 well began flowing onstream on October 12, 2025, after securing necessary regulatory approvals and connecting to the Tolanj Production Facility, according to a material information notice filed with the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Tuesday.

The operator of the TAL Block, MOL, is now gradually ramping up production.

Full flow rate is anticipated to reach 25.1 million standard cubic feet per day (MMscfd) of gas and 333 barrels per day (bpd) of condensate by the end of the day, based on commingled production results previously shared by the operator.

The successful commercialization follows earlier announcements in July and August 2024 regarding the testing results of the Lumshiwal, Kawagarh, and Lockhart formations at the well.

Pakistan Oilfields Limited holds a 25% pre-commerciality working interest in the production from the Razgir-1 well.

The Razgir-1 well is located in the prolific TAL Block in the Kohat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

MOL Pakistan Oil & Gas B.V. is the operator of the TAL Joint Venture, which also includes Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL), POL, and Government Holdings Private Limited (GHPL).

The Razgir discovery has been highlighted as de-risking further exploration potential in the TAL Block and contributing to the country's indigenous hydrocarbon supply.
