Pakistan, EU reaffirm strategic partnership during 7th Dialogue in Brussels

November 24, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan and the European Union reaffirmed their commitment to a broad-based, forward-looking partnership during the 7th Strategic Dialogue in Brussels.

The meeting was co-chaired by Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and EU High Representative/Vice President Kaja Kallas,

It focused on enhancing trade and investment ties, including through the EU’s GSP+ arrangement, as a driver for sustainable growth, export diversification, and job creation, APP reported.

The dialogue provided a comprehensive review of Pakistan–EU relations, building on recent high-level engagements and ongoing institutional interactions.

Leaders also exchanged views on regional and global developments, covering South Asia, Afghanistan, the Middle East, and broader geopolitical issues.

Both sides emphasized the need for coordinated approaches to peace, stability, sustainable development, and global challenges such as climate change and connectivity.

They agreed to strengthen cooperation under the Strategic Engagement Plan (SEP 2019), advance ongoing dialogues, and explore concrete avenues to expand collaboration in the coming years.
