PSX resumes GIS trading from June 29

June 24, 2026 (MLN): The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) will resume trading in the Government of Pakistan (GoP) Ijarah Sukuk (GIS) issue dated June 28, 2024, from June 29, 2026, following the earlier suspension related to rental payments.

According to the PSX Notice issued on Wednesday, trading in the 3-year and 5-year Fixed Rental Rate (FRR) and Variable Rental Rate (VRR) GIS issues will resume from Monday, June 29, 2026, as June 28 falls on a Sunday.

The exchange has also revised the profit rates applicable to the Variable Rental Rate (VRR) GIS instruments based on the latest six-month weighted average yield of 11.7239% as of June 23, 2026.

Under the revised rates, the 3-Year Variable Rental Rate GIS (P03VRR280627), maturing on June 28, 2027, will offer a net profit rate of 11.4239%, up from the previously applicable rate of 10.1639%.

Similarly, the 5-Year Variable Rental Rate GIS (P05VRR280629), maturing on June 28, 2029, will carry a revised net profit rate of 11.4139%, compared with the earlier rate of 10.1539%.
