PSX launches new "Apparel" sector

May 09, 2026 (MLN): The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has formally introduced a dedicated "Apparel" sector, which marks a structural shift in how the bourse categorizes companies primarily engaged in the apparel business.

The move, in a notice on the exchange to all market participants, reflects PSX's ongoing effort to align its sectoral classifications more closely with the actual economic activities of listed companies.

Three companies have been reclassified under the new sector, effective Monday, May 11, 2026:
