June 05, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Thursday's trading session at 121,641.00, showing a decrease of 157.86 points or 0.13%.

The index traded in a range of 763.68 points showing an intraday high of 122,281.58 (+482.72) and a low of 121,517.90 (-280.96) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 407.56 million shares.

Of the 100 index companies 49 closed up, 48 closed down, while 3 were unchanged.

Top losers during the day were MUGHAL (-3.39%), TGL (-3.30%), FATIMA (-2.31%), NBP (-2.28%), and APL (-2.21%).

On the other hand, top gainers were PKGP (+10.00%), KEL (+7.76%), SRVI (+5.49%), TRG (+4.83%), and COLG (+3.82%).

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that dragged the index lower were MEBL (-98.12pts), SYS (-56.77pts), FFC (-53.11pts), BAHL (-52.29pts), and LUCK (-52.17pts).

Meanwhile, companies that added points to the index were ENGROH (+187.81pts), PKGP (+93.76pts), SRVI (+41.76pts), COLG (+41.18pts), and KEL (+38.78pts).

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was let down by Commercial Banks (-238.13pts), Cement (-109.25pts), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (-81.56pts), Fertilizer (-75.77pts), and Oil & Gas Marketing Companies (-32.95pts).

While the index was supported by Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (+195.69pts), Power Generation & Distribution (+94.44pts), Food & Personal Care Products (+55.55pts), Leather & Tanneries (+41.76pts), and Pharmaceuticals (+35.50pts).

 

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 75,951.70 with a net loss of 76.82 points or 0.10%.

Total market volume was 854.62 million shares compared to 710.57m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs25.79 billion showing a decrease of Rs9.42bn.

There were 329,320 trades reported in 477 companies with 216 closing up, 208 closing down, and 53 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 43,196 points or 55.07% during the fiscal year, whereas it has increased 6,514 points or 5.66% so far this calendar year.
