PSX Closing Bell: Looking Green

September 16, 2025 MLN: KSE100 Index closed Tuesday's trading session at 156,180.94 showing an increase of 0.51 percent or 796.44 points.

The index remained positive throughout the session touching an intraday high of 156,467.91 (+1083.4) points.

Total Volume of the KSE100 Index was 423.573 million shares.

Of the 100 index companies 66 closed up, 32 closed down while 2 remained unchanged.

KSE100 index was supported by Oil & Gas Exploration Companies with 179.87, Commercial Banks with 160.8, Power Generation & Distribution with 97.66, Technology & Communication with 96.45 and Oil & Gas Marketing Companies with 75.38 points.

Companies adding points to the index were MEBL with 162.03, TRG with 81.52, OGDC with 79.84, HUBC with 78.69 and PSO with 63.56 points.

KSE100 Index was let down by Fertilizer with 77.65, Automobile Parts & Accessories with 8.84, Sugar & Allied Industries with 0.89, Insurance with 0.71 and Paper, Board & Packaging with 0.66 points.

Companies dragging the index lower were FFC with 104.22, MCB with 24.61, AKBL with 22.87, BAFL with 18.43 and SYS with 16.4 points.

In the broader market, the All-Share index closed at 95,690.82 with a net gain of 557.25 points.

Total market volume was 1,356.005 million shares compared to 857.61 from the previous session while traded value being recorded at 43.28 billion showing an increase of Rs.10.55 billion.

There was 458,496 trades reported in 483 companies with 280 closing up, 178 closing down and 25 remaining unchanged.
