October 03, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Friday's trading session at 168,990.07, showing an increase of 500.45 points or 0.30%.

The index remained positive throughout the day showing an intraday high of 169,988.61 (+1,498.99) and a low of 168,613.41 (+123.79) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 831.08 million shares.

 

Of the 100 index companies 48 closed up, 51 closed down, while 1 were unchanged.

Top gainers during the day were AICL (+10.00%), CNERGY (+6.46%), FHAM (+5.02%), ATRL (+4.57%), and SAZEW (+4.20%).

On the other hand, top losers were TPLRF1 (-6.65%), HUMNL (-5.67%), MEBL (-5.18%), ABL (-4.39%), and PGLC (-2.97%).

 

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that propped up the index were FFC (+520.63pts), UBL (+189.78pts), HUBC (+108.18pts), SYS (+93.84pts), and AICL (+67.56pts).

Meanwhile, companies that dragged the index lower were MEBL (-376.43pts), MARI (-77.46pts), MCB (-70.10pts), HBL (-69.71pts), and BAHL (-60.92pts).

 

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was supported by Fertilizer (+559.96pts), Automobile Assembler (+118.22pts), Power Generation & Distribution (+89.64pts), Refinery (+71.28pts), and Insurance (+67.56pts).

While the index was let down by Commercial Banks (-475.25pts), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (-101.98pts), Real Estate Investment Trust (-43.30pts), Cable & Electrical Goods (-10.71pts), and Miscellaneous (-6.50pts).

 

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 53,980.47 with a net gain of 159.86 points or 0.30%.

Total market volume was 1,573.35 million shares compared to 72,787.13m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs78.67 billion showing a decrease of Rs3,077.42bn.

There were 574,242 trades reported in 485 companies with 201 closing up, 254 closing down, and 30 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 43,363 points or 34.52% during the fiscal year, whereas it has increased 53,863 points or 46.79% so far this calendar year.
