PSX Closing Bell: Green All Day

September 25, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Thursday's trading session at 159,280.09, showing an increase of 1,043.42 points or 0.66%.

The index remained positive throughout the day showing an intraday high of 159,537.60 (+1,300.93) and a low of 158,297.43 (+60.76) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 880.27 million shares.

Of the 100 index companies 47 closed up, 50 closed down, while 3 were unchanged.

Top gainers during the day were BOP (+7.19%), HUBC (+6.34%), HBL (+3.71%), KEL (+3.65%), and ENGROH (+3.59%).

On the other hand, top losers were BNWM (-2.72%), SCBPL (-2.18%), LUCK (-2.15%), FHAM (-2.11%), and FCEPL (-1.91%).

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that propped up the index were HUBC (+419.40pts), ENGROH (+277.34pts), HBL (+183.38pts), MARI (+152.37pts), and EFERT (+112.68pts).

Meanwhile, companies that dragged the index lower were LUCK (-151.62pts), OGDC (-108.56pts), UBL (-65.15pts), FFC (-49.91pts), and BAFL (-35.01pts).

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was supported by Power Generation & Distribution (+438.10pts), Commercial Banks (+337.02pts), Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (+283.84pts), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (+114.85pts), and Fertilizer (+42.68pts).

While the index was let down by Cement (-143.39pts), Technology & Communication (-38.20pts), Oil & Gas Marketing Companies (-27.35pts), Automobile Assembler (-8.64pts), and Real Estate Investment Trust (-6.43pts).

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 50,899.48 with a net gain of 333.44 points or 0.66%.

Total market volume was 1,673.57 million shares compared to 1,780.97m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs55.28 billion showing an increase of Rs0.76bn.

There were 493,519 trades reported in 486 companies with 208 closing up, 237 closing down, and 41 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 33,653 points or 26.79% during the fiscal year, whereas it has increased 44,153 points or 38.35% so far this calendar year.
