PSX Closing Bell: Bears Take the Wheel

December 11, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Thursday's trading session at 168,574.69, showing a decrease of 877.17 points or 0.52%.

The index traded in a range of 1,753.03 points showing an intraday high of 170,301.48 (+849.62) and a low of 168,548.45 (-903.41) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 656.55 million shares.

 

Of the 100 index companies 30 closed up, 68 closed down, while 2 were unchanged.

Top losers during the day were ISL (-6.62%), PKGP (-6.51%), PSEL (-5.80%), INIL (-5.75%), and DHPL (-5.33%).

On the other hand, top gainers were NML (+10.00%), KAPCO (+10.00%), SSGC (+7.50%), GADT (+7.17%), and PABC (+5.30%).

 

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that dragged the index lower were FFC (-232.66pts), LUCK (-150.29pts), HBL (-97.52pts), PSEL (-85.26pts), and HUBC (-63.40pts).

Meanwhile, companies that added points to the index were ENGROH (+86.63pts), NML (+86.60pts), OGDC (+57.57pts), KAPCO (+49.60pts), and AICL (+37.86pts).

 

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was let down by Cement (-343.52pts), Fertilizer (-264.87pts), Commercial Banks (-253.96pts), Miscellaneous (-70.31pts), and Engineering (-64.48pts).

While the index was supported by Textile Composite (+108.80pts), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (+57.15pts), Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (+48.09pts), Insurance (+37.86pts), and Technology & Communication (+26.22pts).

 

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 102,171.27 with a net loss of 383.53 points or 0.37%.

Total market volume was 1,288.97 million shares compared to 1,190.53m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs55.23 billion showing an increase of Rs4.74bn.

There were 429,816 trades reported in 485 companies with 189 closing up, 257 closing down, and 39 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 42,947 points or 34.19% during the fiscal year, whereas it has increased 53,448 points or 46.43% so far this calendar year.
