PSX Closing Bell: Back to the Red

September 11, 2025 MLN: KSE100 Index closed Thursday's trading session at 156,141.24 showing a decrease of 0.56 percent or 879.55 points.

The index traded in a range of 1712.95 points showing an intraday high of 157,816.76 (+795.96) and a low of 156,103.81 (-916.99) points.

Total Volume of the KSE100 Index was 402.82 million shares.

Of the 100 index companies 36 closed up, 63 closed down and 1 remained unchanged.

KSE100 Index was let down by Oil & Gas Exploration Companies with 267.69, Commercial Banks with 206.99, Fertilizer with 179.64, Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. with 164.49 and Cement with 146.98 points.

Companies dragging the index lower were ENGROH with 149.41, PPL with 110.55, MARI with 106.7, EFERT with 89.95 and FFC with 84.06 points.

KSE100 index was supported by Textile Composite with 79.13, Chemical with 62.07, Tobacco with 35.65, Engineering with 32.23 and Pharmaceuticals with 26.04 points.

Companies adding points to the index were MEBL with 60.66, ILP with 48.96, KTML with 42.8, LCI with 37.62 and PAKT with 35.65 points.

In the broader market, the All-Share index closed at 95,433.78 with a net loss of 122.91 points.

Total market volume was 1,279.942 million shares compared to 996.27 from the previous session while traded value being recorded at 50.21 billion showing a decrease of Rs.2.52 billion.

There was 505,663 trades reported in 486 companies with 224 closing up, 223 closing down and 39 remaining unchanged.
