PSDP spending reaches Rs530bn in 11MFY26

June 17, 2026 (MLN): Federal Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) expenditure stood at Rs529.82 billion during July–May of FY2025-26, against a total allocation of Rs837.16bn and an authorisation of Rs835.64bn.
Federal ministries collectively utilised Rs391.02bn out of
an authorised Rs575.63bn, while corporations recorded expenditure of Rs138.80bn
against an allocation of Rs260.01bn.
Among federal ministries, Provinces & Special Areas
accounted for the largest expenditure at Rs153.86bn, followed by Water
Resources Division at Rs69.88bn and Federal Education & Professional
Training Division at Rs20.91bn.
Higher Education Commission utilised Rs27.79bn, while
Railways Division recorded Rs15.69bn in expenditure. Planning, Development
& Special Initiatives Division spent Rs14.41bn during the period.
On the corporations side, National Highway Authority (NHA)
utilised Rs85.07bn out of its allocation of Rs184.87bn, while Power Division
(NTDC/PEPCO) recorded expenditure of Rs53.73bn against an allocation of Rs75.14bn.
Among the lower-spending divisions, Human Rights Division
utilised Rs13.99m, National Heritage & Culture Division spent Rs39.48m, and
Religious Affairs & Inter Faith Harmony Division recorded nil expenditure
during the eleven-month period.
