POL discloses completion of Jhal Magsi Project

August 18, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan Oilfields Limited (PSX: POL) has disclosed the successful completion and commissioning of the Jhal Magsi Development Project, located in District Jhal Magsi, Balochistan.

The project is currently delivering approximately 14 Million Standard Cubic Feet per Day (MMSCFD) of pipeline-quality gas, along with 45 Barrels Per Day (BPD) of condensate, the notification issued to the local bourse.

The gas is being supplied to the Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL) network, following the construction of a 98-kilometer transportation pipeline by SSGCL from the Jhal Magsi Field to its designated tie-in point.

Development activities began in February 2024, following the Government of Pakistan's approval of incentives for the project, including its conversion from the 1997 Petroleum Policy to the Marginal Field Gas Pricing Policy.

The Jhal Magsi Field comprises two wells and is a joint venture led by Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) as operator with a 56% working interest, alongside Pakistan Oilfields Limited (POL) with 24% and Government Holdings Private Limited (GHPL) with 20%.
