June 26, 2025 (MLN): To further strengthen Pakistan’s economy in the upcoming fiscal year 2025–26, the Prime Minister reaffirmed his firm commitment to economic growth during a Federal Cabinet meeting held in Islamabad.

He expressed gratitude to President Asif Ali Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, coalition partners, political leadership, and cabinet members for their support in finalizing the federal budget.

He also extended special appreciation to the economic team, particularly Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb and the FBR Chairman, for their dedication and efforts in budget preparation.

Addressing regional developments, the Prime Minister welcomed the ceasefire between Israel and Iran and thanked Almighty Allah for the peaceful resolution.

He also acknowledged the critical role played by international stakeholders, including Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, according to the press release issued today.

He highlighted that Iran publicly appreciated the efforts of Pakistan’s people, political parties, military, and leadership specifically naming the President of Pakistan, the Prime Minister himself, and the Field Marshal for their role in ensuring the ceasefire.

The Prime Minister also mentioned Pakistan’s condemnation of Iran’s attack on Qatar and issued directives for robust security arrangements during Muharram-ul-Haram.

He instructed the Interior Minister to coordinate closely with provincial governments, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir to ensure foolproof law and order during processions and Majalis.

The Cabinet concluded the meeting with a prayer for Major Moiz Abbas Shah Shaheed and other martyrs who laid down their lives in South Waziristan, as the Prime Minister reiterated the nation’s resolve to defeat Fitna-al-Khwarij.
