PKR remains flat against USD

November 24, 2025 (MLN): The Pakistani rupee (PKR) gained by 1.35 paisa against the US dollar in Monday's interbank session to settle the trade at PKR 280.61 per USD, compared to previous closing of 280.62.

Throughout the day, the currency saw an intraday high (bid) of 280.40 and a low (ask) of 281.65.

In the open market, exchange companies quoted the dollar at 280.80 for buying and 281.65 for selling.

In comparison to major currencies, PKR increased 40.84 paisa or 0.13% against the Euro, closing at 323.46 compared to the previous value of 323.87.

Against the British Pound, PKR depreciated by 64.18 paisa or 0.17% to 367.71 compared to 367.07 a day ago.

The local unit increased 1.87 rupees or 0.54% against Swiss franc to close at 347.07.

Against the Japanese Yen, PKR's value fell 0.09 paisa or 0.05% to close the session at 1.7903 versus 1.7894 a day ago.

Pakistani Rupee fell 3.44 paisa or 0.09% against Chinese Yuan to close at 39.49 from 39.45.

The local currency rose by 0.36 paisa or 0.00% against Saudi Riyal to 74.82. While it rose by 0.58 paisa or 0.01% against the U.A.E Dirham to close at 76.40.

During the current fiscal year, PKR has strengthened against the US Dollar by 3.16 rupees or 1.12%. While it has weakened 2.06 rupees or 0.73% so far this calendar year.

In the Money Market, the benchmark 6 Month Karachi Interbank Bid and Offer rates inched up by 1bps to 10.94% and 11.19%.
