PKR remains flat against USD

October 31, 2025 (MLN): The Pakistani rupee (PKR) increased by 1.16 paisa against the US dollar in Friday's interbank session to settle the trade at PKR 280.91 per USD, compared to previous closing of 280.92.

Throughout the day, the currency saw an intraday high (bid) of 281.05 and a low (ask) of 281.95.

In the open market, exchange companies quoted the dollar at 281.00 for buying and 281.95 for selling.

In comparison to major currencies, PKR rose 1.43 rupees or 0.44% against the Euro, closing at 324.76 compared to the previous value of 326.19.

Against the British Pound, PKR appreciated by 1.45 rupees or 0.39% to 369.17 compared to 370.62 a day ago.

The local unit strengthened 1.48 rupees or 0.42% against Swiss franc to close at 349.94.

Against the Japanese Yen, PKR's value gained 0.54 paisa or 0.30% to close the session at 1.8209 versus 1.8263 a day ago.

Pakistani Rupee strengthened 3.35 paisa or 0.08% against Chinese Yuan to close at 39.48 from 39.52.

The local currency rose by 0.11 paisa or 0.00% against Saudi Riyal to 74.91. While it strengthened by 0.11 paisa or 0.00% against the U.A.E Dirham to close at 76.48.

During the current fiscal year, PKR has appreciated against the US Dollar by 2.85 rupees or 1.02%. While it has fell 2.36 rupees or 0.84% so far this calendar year.

In the Money Market, the benchmark 6 Month Karachi Interbank Bid and Offer rates inched down by 1bps to 10.94% and 11.19%.
